SLSF SW7 #304 is seen parked in front of the yard office in Ft. Smith, 8/57. It shows the Roman lettering as applied originally at the EMD factory. Also note the receptrical and hangers for classification lamps as these units were used as road units on some short branch lines.

GE 44-ton #7 was in Ft. Smith for servicing and painting before returning to Paris, TX and the joint switching assignment. Frisco and Santa Fe alternated years switching Paris, with the Santa Fe using a gas-electric.
