My third train was another northbound on the former MKT heading to the former MP line.

We also found these units at the engine servicing facility at the west end of the intermodal yard on May 25, 2014.

This is a run-through train from the UP to the CSX. It is parked at Cox Street in Memphis where they changed crews. The engines are sitting very near the location of the former Lenox station on the NC&StL on March 2, 2012.

With the pasage of this vehicle train, it was time to head north to Madison and moving into the dorm for 7 weeks June 18, 2006.

The next train in Pryor, OK was this south bound general merchandize train on Sept. 8, 2010.

This eastbound stack train is seen in Rochelle, IL on July 29, 2005.

The next train was another eastbound intermodal at the east end of Union Station in Texarkana on Oct. 7, 2011.

My next train in Grand Island on August 16, 2011 was an eastbound general freight with a CSX as the second unit.

This train was sitting at the east end of the yard in Van Buren on May 4, 2014.

This south bound UP train approached on the tracks of the lowest level of the junction west of KC Union Station on Oct. 23, 2013.

We changed our route to Tahlequah by taking State 16 to Muskogee to see what might be there. We found the following at the former MKT engine terminal service area on July 16, 2011.

UP SD70 #4139 leads a west bound vehicle train by Flagg, IL at the west end of Global Three June 17, 2006.

We then drove down River Road to its end near Audobon Zoo in New Orleans to shoot this UP train waiting for permission to proceed through downtown on Oct. 14, 2011.

UP #4173 is stopped on the main at Worthen, AR on May 19, 2006.

On May 21, 2006, two UP freights race through the Little Rock Amtrak station area. The general merchandize has a "clear" signal while the stack train has an "approach" and is running considerably slower than the other freight. Note the trailing unit on the stack train, a red and silver "Warbonnet" lettered BNSF.

For a short vacation away from Tahlequah, we chose to spend 3 days in Tulsa. At Wagoner, I noted a signal for a south bound freight on the former MP line, so we headed to the Wagoner Hot Spot on Sept. 12, 2012.

On our way out of town, we discovered a unit ethanol train stopped for fuel under the US62 overpass of the bypass, Shawnee Street in Muskogee on July 16, 2011.

We changed our route to Tahlequah by taking State 16 to Muskogee to see what might be there. We found the following at the former MKT engine terminal service area on July 16, 2011.

On June 6, 2006, this UP train is stopped on the Huey P. Long Bridge in Jefferson Parish, LA awaiting another train that is stopped at the signal at the very end of the bridge.

In the first picture with the train stopped at the signals at the north end of the Cookson siding, you can see the light in the flasher on the north side of the track is lit. After it got its signal, the train approached at a very slow speed, under dynamic braking, obviously responding to my report. The gates came down at the normal distance. After the train passed the gates went up and the flashers and bells stopped.

On March 17, 2014, while waiting for the A&M units, I heard a train blowing for the Main Street crossing. Shortly it appeared.

I went back to the Amtrack station in time to catch this east bound freight on April 25, 2014.

A northbound freight is seen crossing Broadway in downtown Muskogee, OK on Nov. 7, 2013.

Here a young rail fan watches as UP 4496 returns west from delivering a string of refrigerator cars to the Rochelle Railroad interchange on the east side of town on June 15, 2005.

Trains 4 & 5 arrive in the plant at almost the same time. As with the last pair the southbound on the former MKT appeared first before heading to the former MP on Oct. 15, 2012 in Wagoner, OK.

This SD70M leads a southbound freight through Jacksonville, AR May 19, 2001.

The freight is then seen passing under the famous Court Street bridge over the tracks. Martin Luther King, Broadway and Okmulgee Street crossings off and on for the time I watched over the next 2 hourson Feb. 6, 2014 in Muskogee, OK.

A meet at Blackwell, AR with the SP unit leading its train in to the siding after UP #4585 arrived on April 14, 2006.

The southbound train on the Katy began moving again after the northbound passed. It took the connection and headed south on the MoPac toward Van Buren, AR.

When I left Memphis, I spotted this train when I crossed over the UP (former MP) tracks on I40 in West Memphis.

On a trip to Ft. Smith, I stopped by the yard in Van Buren and shot this eastbound UP train at the South 28th Street refueling station at Jan. 18, 2012.

This train was parked on the former MKT mainline with train hanging over the Arkansas River bridge north of Muskogee, OK on June 14, 2013.

The coal train then met an eastbound general freight in the distance on Gothenburg, NE August 16, 2011.

UP SD70 #4800 leads a westbound freight toward a meet at Worthen, AR on April 13, 2006.

I caught this UP train waiting for permission to enter the elevated tracks shared with the BNSF through downtown Wichita.

The next train was a westbound UP general merchandize train which passed out location and then took the crossover at Riverside Drive to the south track across the Mississippi River bridge in Memphis where it met the eastbound passenger train for which we had been waiting on April 12, 2012.

This westbound intermodal is seen passing KC Union Station on Oct. 23, 2013.

I got off I40 at Brinkley and headed for the SSW trackage toward Pine Bluff. I found this train in Stuttgart on March 30, 2012.
On the way back to Tahlequah, we caught this SB UP freight at Wagoner going from the former MKT line to the former MP line.

My first freight of the day was a UP west bound with 10 units.

The road power then moves south to clear the switch so it can head back toward the engine terminal in Muskogee, OK on June 12, 2012.

On July 19, 2013, I heard a south bound on the former MP line in Wagoner, OK. It is seen leaving the MP line for the MKT line on the connecting track.

I caught this UP general freight on July 26, 2011 as it pulled up even with a loaded unit coal train in Van Buren, AR. This freight remained in this spot for at least 2 hours over lunch as I drove back past, and it was still there, as seen below.

The next train in Vinita, OK was a southbound unit pipe train with a covered hopper as the head-end protection car which is required by Federal Law to protect the crew from shifting of the pipe during transit on April 28, 2012.

This westbound vehicle train sports 4 SD70s on the point and 2 trailing NS units on June 15, 2005.
