WSOR 10C was parked along Campus Drive the morning of 7/22/05.

WSOR "commuter train" sat in the middle of campus all morning. The high rise in the left distance is the new chemistry building.

In keeping with the theme of the day, this banner appeared on the side of SOO 1003's tender.

SOO 1003 is preparing to leave the yard for its first run across Lake Monona.

The Mike began its move to the mainline for its numerous trips across Lake Monona.

This SOO caboose brought up the markers for the steam engine.

The trains are now staged for their first movements.

The first train ride left E. Johnson Yard at 9:00am, on time.

The following series of shots of SOO #1003 are arranged from E. Johnson Yard to Lake Monona but are not in sequence, timewise, covering parts of three separate trips.

The sun came out about 6:30pm after several rain squalls. They made 2 outstanding runbys for those still around.

The sun did come out in the late afternoon after all of the official festivities were over.

The celebration ends with the Mike beginning its journey back to Hartford, WI on 7/24/05.
